This vessel was built in Mitsubishi Shipyard, Kobe, Japan. In 2001 during a huge storm in the Southern Atlantic this ship was hit by a "killer wave" that cause heavy damaged into the ship, it left the ship adrift for about two hours without any propulsion. In 2003 this vessel discovered an uncharted island in the Antartic. That island was named "Bremen Island".
