Monte da Luz / Alcantara Rocha

What a great surprise. This morning the ocean tug "Monte da Luz" made a tecnical scale in Praia's harbor.
This beautiful tug was built in Malaysia in 2013 and belongs to Rebonave - Reboques e Assistência Naval, SA. It's homeport is Setubal!

This was the first job executted by this tug. The towage operation begun on 14th May 2014. "Monte da Luz" sailed from Setúbal to Colon , Panamá to perfom a towage operation with the floating dock “Alcantara Rocha” to Lisbon, Portugal.
This operation is expected to last aproximately 60 days, and more than 8.000 nm will be sailed. What a long voyage!!

Inside the harbor the tug "O Bravo" assisted in the maneuvers!
